Savor Our Center City Philadelphia Restaurant
With its delicious, approachable menus and upbeat ambience, Square 1682 has become a beloved Center City gathering place thanks to its great food, great drinks and great people. Among Chef Caitlin Mateo’s many career highlights, she has had the privilege of cooking at the James Beard House and since 2011 she has been dazzling our diners with her colorful, bright and diverse menus that put an emphasis on healthy options that are locally sourced. Chef Mateo’s New American fare could be described as: progressive, delicious, artfully presented, healthful and comforting. An added bonus: She cultivates some of the sustainable ingredients herself in an aeroponic garden on the 25th floor. Time and again, loyal patrons return to the Architects Building in Rittenhouse Square for restaurant draws like popular lunch tray specials, a thriving juice program, the raved-about avocado toast, one of the country’s top bar programs, frequent live music (our lead bartender is also a musician) and seasonal patio seating. If you’re hosting an intimate dining affair for a small or large group, be sure to explore our private dining options, too.
