Real Wedding Love Story in Philadelphia

An Elegant Micro-Wedding in Philadelphia

Ashley and Nick had planned to host their wedding in Costa Mujeres in spring of 2021, but Covid had other plans. The natural second choice for the couple? Philadelphia, where their love story began and where Ashley had visited often, having grown up across the Delaware River in New Jersey. It took one visit to Kimpton Hotel Palomar Philadelphia for the couple to know it was the perfect venue for them. “Nick and I felt at home when we walked through the lobby and met with the front desk staff,” said Ashley. Their intimate ceremony and reception found the couple and their nearest and dearest surrounded by lush floral décor in the Burnham Ballroom, making for a gorgeously memorable day.

Memorable Details

Ashley and Nick opted for an intimate “micro-wedding,” with just 11 guests. The entire affair was hosted in the Burnham Ballroom on the 25th floor and the Hotel Palomar team, “did a wonderful job setting up the room and making sure the space did not feel ‘empty,’” said the bride.

"Nick and I will always remember our wedding at the Hotel Palomar and how beautiful our day was surrounded by our families. We cannot wait to come back and stay. This hotel will forever hold a special place in our hearts."

The wedding package we chose included everything we needed for our big day, the planning was stress-free and enjoyable.

The temperature reached a sizzling 95 degrees the day of the wedding, so the newlyweds opted to take their (stunning) post-ceremony portraits inside the hotel while guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Then it was on to the reception which included a first dance to Matt Stell’s romantic “I Prayed for You” and four-course dinner, ending with a delicious lemon-raspberry wedding cake and post-dinner cocktails.

The after party took place at Hotel Monaco’s rooftop lounge, Stratus, where Ashley and Nick were able to host more friends in the outdoor space. The couple’s wedding package also included a wedding night stay at the hotel, so they could simply take the elevator “home” after a night of joyful celebration. The next morning it was off to the airport to head to Florida for their honeymoon.
